Gustavo Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Fernandez in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of São Paulo FC booed when Real Invictus F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vicente Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Real Invictus F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Salgado couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Genílson Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademar Fontes. Genílson Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With 20 minutes on the clock, Olívio Vander commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 19 minutes into the game, one of São Paulo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ademar Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Monteiro in the 30th minute of play. Víktor da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Fontes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Invictus F.C's Jairo Coutinho got a free kick in the 32nd minute. During the 34th minute of the match Jairo Coutinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jairo Coutinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 34 minutes into the game, one of Real Invictus F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for São Paulo FC. Diguinho Fernandez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Furtado. 2-2. Víktor da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Fontes having to make a save. Víktor da Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademar Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Real Invictus F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Salgado to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genílson Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Real Invictus F.C's Genílson Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademar Fontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Ademar Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Víktor da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valdir Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo FC's protests and gave Valdir Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. Valdir Cavalcante hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Jean Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. São Paulo FC's Ademar Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Monteiro in the 81st minute of play. When Real Invictus F.C's Genílson Monteiro in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Invictus F.C fully deserved thier win.
