The supporters of Real Santista FC booed when Marvai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério França didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Jefferson Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino de Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Real Santista FC's Magno Leme got control of the ball when Caco Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, Hortêncio Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Severino de Almeida. Marvai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Marvai's Tomás Dantas got a free kick in the 19th minute. Severino de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Cardoso in the 20th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Hortêncio Cardoso put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Severino de Almeida. 28 minutes into the game, Jean Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Santista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marvai the free kick. After 28 played minutes Real Santista FC got a freekick which was hit by Jean Alves. After 30 minutes of play, Real Santista FC's Hortêncio Cardoso made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magno Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Marvai's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Cardoso came free, but Severino de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Cardoso in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino de Almeida saved Marvai from getting behind. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Hortêncio Cardoso sped through Marvai's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Severino de Almeida. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hortêncio Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marvai's Valério França got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hortêncio Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Ortiz in the 62nd minute of play forced Real Santista FC's goalkeeper Magno Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Jean Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Cardoso in the 65th minute of play forced Marvai's goalkeeper Severino de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Jean Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Santista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Magno Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Cardoso in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Severino de Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Esiquio Villaspasa kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Santista FC's Hortêncio Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severino de Almeida. That made the score 0-6 after 85 minutes of play. Severino de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Alves in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Paraíba in the 95th minute of play forced Real Santista FC's goalkeeper Magno Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Afonsinho Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Real Santista FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marvai throughout the match.
