Tiago Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Dráusio Corrêa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pe de Sabão FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santo Agostinho the free kick. In the 24th minute, Dráusio Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Santo Agostinho's Caetano Coutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 34th minute, Caetano Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 40 minutes into the match, Pe de Sabão FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Diniz came free, but Tiago Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santo Agostinho's José Vítor Diniz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Erik Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Álvaro do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Santo Agostinho were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eusébio Cordeiro tried in the game's 51st match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Tiago Monteiro. An annoying self made goal, 0-4. Pe de Sabão FC's Tiago Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Pe de Sabão FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Coutinho got free with Tiago Monteiro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 59th minute of the match José Vítor Diniz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Vítor Diniz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Álvaro do Nascimento came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pe de Sabão FC's Erik Alcântara. But to his dismay, Erik Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Cristiano Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Caetano Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santo Agostinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Cristiano Peres took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiago Monteiro. Tiago Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Pe de Sabão FC's Tiago Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Pe de Sabão FC from getting a goal against them. Anderson Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pe de Sabão FC's Erik Alcântara in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santo Agostinho's goalie prevented a goal.
