The referee ignored Forrambamba EC's protests and gave Cássio de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Forrambamba EC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio de Lara. Osvaldo Sá succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 44th playminute. Válter de Andrade scored 1-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rômulo Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
