Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Pinho started the match with the kick off. Alessandro Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Pena in the 4th minute of the match. The tension between the Anhandui FC and the Geléia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edson Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Víktor Neto came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Geléia FC's Toninho Mendes. But to his dismay, Toninho Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alessandro Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd match minute, Anhandui FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Pena to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Neto having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Jerônimo Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Toninho Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geléia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Joel Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víktor Neto was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the game, Joel Pinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Víktor Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alessandro Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Seco in the 39th minute of the match. Alessandro Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Sabóia in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes Geléia FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raimundo Meira who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Geléia FC's goalie and right to Edson Seco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Geléia FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Pena in the 43rd minute of play forced Geléia FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes Geléia FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Berger. Hermínio Berger hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Geléia FC's Alessandro Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Seco in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edson Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. In the 51st minute of the match Raimundo Meira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Vargas skillfully saved the ball. Kaká Pena hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the last second Víktor Neto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Joel Pinho in the 61stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Sá in the 63rd minute of play forced Geléia FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Edson Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Mendes went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When Toninho Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geléia FC's protests and gave Toninho Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the match, Geléia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Sabóia came free, but Alessandro Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Víktor Neto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toninho Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Alessandro Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Geléia FC's Alessandro Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Sabóia in the 84th minute of play. Dito Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 89 minutes into the game, Geléia FC's Joel Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Víktor Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Alessandro Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Geléia FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Anhandui FC.
