Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gláuber de Senna started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Guimarães came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Livramento A.F.C's Tião Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovanni Quadros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogério Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Geovanni Quadros slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Joaquim Melo, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Cannavieiras booed when Livramento A.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Albertinho Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Alvarenga took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélio Luz. Hélio Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Albertinho Guimarães scored 1-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélio Luz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Livramento A.F.C getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Geovanni Quadros hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Betão Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Betão Chaves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Luz was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Livramento A.F.C's Hélio Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Vieira in the 39th minute of play. Hélio Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Chaves in the 41st minute of the match. When Gino Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Cannavieiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Chaves came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Cannavieiras got a freekick which was hit by Robinho de Moraes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Gláuber de Senna's late challenge caught a Cannavieiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. 54 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goalkeeper Hélio Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Chaves. Hélio Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betão Chaves in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Geovanni Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute Arnaldo Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedrão Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Livramento A.F.C's Hélio Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Livramento A.F.C from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Pedrão Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Neves. Cannavieiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrão Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Pedrão Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Luz came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Cannavieiras's Albertinho Guimarães. But to his dismay, Albertinho Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-7. Hélio Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betão Chaves in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Cannavieiras's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Palmeira came free, but Rogério Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Gláuber de Senna notched a goal, 3-7, to the right of Cannavieiras's Rogério Neves. Rogério Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Igor Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Luz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Igor Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cannavieiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cannavieiras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
