In the 27th match minute, Mundial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Soares to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Tasso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladislav Samsonov was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Osvaldo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Soeiro having to interfere. Campos do Jordão's Denílson Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Soares in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Campos do Jordão defense, Osvaldo Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denílson Soeiro. The Campos do Jordão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denílson Soeiro should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Campos do Jordão's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Sanches came free, but Denílson Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Tarcisio Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Campos do Jordão's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Erik Sanches scored to the left of an out of position Denílson Soeiro, making the score, 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mundial FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
