The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo de Barros got free with Jeferson Gaúcho in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th match minute, Cabo Frio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frédson Leite during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Frédson Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brelinho's José Maria Prestes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cabo Frio. After a defensive mix-up in Cabo Frio's zone, José Maria Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Gaúcho came out of the goal and José Maria Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cabo Frio's Frédson Leite got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Frédson Leite off the ground. Frédson Leite hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Reynaldo de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Yuri Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Trancoso having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Brelinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Cornell to maneuver through the defense. Jeferson Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Reynaldo de Barros sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the game, Brelinho's José Maria Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeferson Gaúcho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to Brelinho getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Reynaldo de Barros hit a great ball.

With a little luck, Brelinho's Yuri Trancoso got control of the ball when Elói Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 53rd minute, José Maria Prestes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brelinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 56th match minute, Brelinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Cornell to maneuver through the defense. Elói Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Yuri Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 minutes, 韩超洋 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brelinho and the Cabo Frio players grew even worse after the yellow card. 韩超洋 kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. José Maria Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jeferson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Trancoso having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Evaristo Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabo Frio's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Brelinho support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
