After taking down the ball on Irajá Atlético Clube's corner Romeu Moraes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Vergílio quite easily take care of the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Irajá Atlético Clube's Tomas Mirones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 15th minute, Aílton Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Thiago FC defense, Duarte Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Vergílio. The Thiago FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Vergílio should have stopped the shot. Nando Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nando Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Thiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Hoffmann. Reynaldo Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Mirones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Irajá Atlético Clube's Tomas Mirones made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Carlos Fernando Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irajá Atlético Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 45 played minutes Irajá Atlético Clube got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Prata. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Fernando Brito was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tomas Mirones notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Thiago FC's Reynaldo Vergílio. Reynaldo Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 55 minutes into the game, Irajá Atlético Clube's Tomas Mirones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in Irajá Atlético Clube's zone, Gilberto Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kang Qing Sha came out of the goal and Gilberto Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Fero Nueva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Mattos's late challenge caught a Irajá Atlético Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. Armando Mattos hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Tavares in the 71st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Tomas Mirones dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo Vergílio, 0-10. Carlos Fernando Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Vergílio made a huge save. 90 minutes into the match, Thiago FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Fernando Brito. A collision led to Thiago FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Isaltino Neto hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game Duarte Carneiro kicked a great long shot which passed Reynaldo Vergílio straight ahead into the goal, Result 0-11. One couldn't see Duarte Carneiro behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. When the match was over Irajá Atlético Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Thiago FC throughout the match.
