Spectators: 7631 (Terracing: 5724, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nildo Silva started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Eagle Lyon's goalkeeper Dráuzio Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 4 minutes, Tostão Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independente Brasil and the Eagle Lyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Independente Brasil getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tostão Montenegro hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Nildo Silva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dráuzio Negri, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Laerte Marques put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dráuzio Negri. Tostão Montenegro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Erasmo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eagle Lyon's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Independente Brasil's Nildo Silva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dráuzio Negri. Dráuzio Negri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Ramiro do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Pitta in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eagle Lyon's zone, Laerte Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Negri came out of the goal and Laerte Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, Eagle Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Arósio to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Laerte Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráuzio Negri. Eagle Lyon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laerte Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Téo de Sousa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Dráuzio Negri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nildo Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. Ramiro do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Lago in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alan Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eagle Lyon's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráuzio Negri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Batista went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ramiro do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Lago was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Eagle Lyon defense, Nildo Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Negri. The Eagle Lyon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Negri should have stopped the shot. Erasmo Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Eagle Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Pires to maneuver through the defense. Dráuzio Negri didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Independente Brasil's Nildo Silva shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 62nd minute, Laerte Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Batista in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráuzio Negri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dráuzio Negri came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Independente Brasil's Tostão Montenegro. But to his dismay, Tostão Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Tostão Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Pedro Pitta got free with Ramiro do Nascimento in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The nice shot from João Pedro Pitta in the 82ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ramiro do Nascimento had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Independente Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Pires came free, but Ramiro do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pedro Pitta struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Ramiro do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eagle Lyon. In the 91st minute, Nildo Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. During the 95th minute of the match Erasmo Pires completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erasmo Pires a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 96th minute, Erasmo Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independente Brasil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tostão Montenegro in the 98th minute. Tostão Montenegro made a great header on Independente Brasil's corner, it was just that Eagle Lyon's Dráuzio Negri managed to reach the ball for a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Independente Brasil had played much better football throughout.
