After 17 played minutes Manicobal got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Koehler. Valdomiro de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Rodriguinho Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manicobal's protests and gave Rodriguinho Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Manicobal's Rodriguinho Amaral got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dedé Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Laércio Marques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdomiro de Castro skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Benjamin da Mata put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Valdomiro de Castro. Mário Esteves hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Laércio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YPIRANGA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Manicobal's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Silva came free, but Valdomiro de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half YPIRANGA F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hortêncio Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Manicobal's Dedé Eger got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Mário Esteves's late challenge caught a YPIRANGA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. Tibúrcio Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Valdomiro de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdomiro de Castro made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cássio Silva sent off a good shot on target. The YPIRANGA F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when YPIRANGA F.C.'s Laércio Marques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. YPIRANGA F.C.'s Váldson da Fonseca was substituted for Benjamin da Mata. 69 minutes into the match, Manicobal's goalkeeper Valdomiro de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Silva. Valdomiro de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Manicobal's goalkeeper Valdomiro de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Silva. With a little luck, Manicobal's Valdomiro de Castro got control of the ball when Cássio Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manicobal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cássio Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro de Castro having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Juvenal Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Silva in the 85th minute of play forced Manicobal's goalkeeper Valdomiro de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdomiro de Castro came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by YPIRANGA F.C.'s Bernardo Perez. But to his dismay, Bernardo Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Manicobal's Valdomiro de Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Manicobal from getting a goal against them. Valdomiro de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Marquez in the 92nd minute of play. Valdomiro de Castro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Váldson da Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 95 minute of play. The Manicobal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. YPIRANGA F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
