Flamengo UK's Wolf-Rüdiger Honda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Mendonça in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Mendonça in the 12th minute of play forced Flamengo UK's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Honda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Naldo Antunes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Só Canela FC's Afonso de Queirós. Afonso de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Flamengo UK booed when Só Canela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Flamengo UK defense, Romário Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wolf-Rüdiger Honda. The Flamengo UK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wolf-Rüdiger Honda should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo UK's zone, Romário Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda came out of the goal and Romário Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Flamengo UK's Fabrício Gaspar got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Luiz Fernando Chaves fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo UK's protests and gave Luiz Fernando Chaves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Só Canela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon Mendonça in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wolf-Rüdiger Honda saved Flamengo UK from getting behind. After the first half Só Canela FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Naldo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Naldo Antunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Afonso de Queirós came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo UK's Naldo Antunes. But to his dismay, Naldo Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 73rd minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Afonso de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Gaspar in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Só Canela FC booed when Flamengo UK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Naldo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo UK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Maicon Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Wolf-Rüdiger Honda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Mendonça in the 93rd minute of play forced Flamengo UK's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Honda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Pedrinho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandão Trevisan got free with Wolf-Rüdiger Honda in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, Só Canela FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
