After 13 played minutes, PALHAÇADA FC's Sílvio Luiz do Valle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sandrinho Ramalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PALHAÇADA FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Botelho got free with Guto Brito in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guto Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Falkrans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Melquiades Fidele kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guto Brito. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. After 23 played minutes C.Atlético Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Claes Falkrans. Sandrinho Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Netto in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Osmar Dracena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.Atlético Internacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALHAÇADA FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, C.Atlético Internacional's Osmar Dracena got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Nuno Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of C.Atlético Internacional booed when PALHAÇADA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Netto in the 32nd minute of play forced C.Atlético Internacional's goalkeeper Sandrinho Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes PALHAÇADA FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio de Alcântara. Claes Falkrans struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Claes Falkrans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guto Brito was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandrinho Netto made a kick off. Romário Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th match minute, PALHAÇADA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Netto to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Claes Falkrans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guto Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Falkrans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59thth minute of the game Claes Falkrans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PALHAÇADA FC's Guto Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute Sandrinho Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Romário Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the C.Atlético Internacional fans jumped to their feet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claes Falkrans in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guto Brito saved PALHAÇADA FC from getting behind. Guto Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claes Falkrans's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Fabrício Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sandrinho Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Falkrans in the 80th minute of play. Claes Falkrans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the game, C.Atlético Internacional's Romário Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guto Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Sandrinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sandrinho Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Netto in the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claes Falkrans in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guto Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PALHAÇADA FC's Guto Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Botelho in the 96th minute of play. C.Atlético Internacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
