Enio Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Torre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enio Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Torre booed when Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes Torre got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz de Castro. 40 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goalkeeper Gilberto Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Galvão. Gilberto Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davi Xavier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 77thth minute of the game Leonardo Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torre's Dedé Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilberto Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Galvão in the 83rd minute of the match. Marcel Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dedé Ceresso made a huge save. Macedonia's Marcel Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torre walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
