Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marcelo Txanton made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Rony Mota made a precise shot to the right of Júlio de Medeiros. Cotias EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Júlio de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Porongos's Marcelo Txanton. But to his dismay, Marcelo Txanton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Júlio de Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Txanton went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 15 played minutes Porongos got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Silveira. Júlio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Genova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Calvino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio de Medeiros having to make a save. Cotias EC's Júlio de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Txanton in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Yuri Cardoso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christiano Castro. That made the score 1-3 in the 31 minute of play. When Porongos's Marcelo Txanton in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cotias EC's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the game, Giovani Baiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cotias EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porongos the free kick. After 41 played minutes Cotias EC got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Baiano. After some careless play in the Cotias EC defense, Alfredo Calvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio de Medeiros. The Cotias EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio de Medeiros should have stopped the shot. The Cotias EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Porongos were winning 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovani Baiano made a kick off. Marcelo Txanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Porongos's Marcelo Txanton got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cotias EC's Cristóvão Messias got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Marcelo Txanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio de Medeiros having to interfere. If Enrique Genova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Txanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Júlio de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Messias hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Porongos's Alfredo Calvino in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cotias EC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cotias EC's zone, Marcelo Txanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio de Medeiros came out of the goal and Marcelo Txanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Júlio de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Txanton struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Júlio de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porongos. Júlio de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Txanton in the 83rd minute of play. Christiano Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Baiano in the 85th minute of the match. Cotias EC's Júlio de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Cotias EC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Porongos's Alfredo Calvino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. After 92 played minutes Enrique Genova could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-6 into the left cross. Júlio de Medeiros was a little too slow when Alfredo Calvino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 1-7. Porongos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
