After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Gavril Dudev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ourinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavril Dudev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubinho Reis made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Charles Martins sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Cléber Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Arantes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Gavril Dudev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ourinhos FC's Gavril Dudev got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Ourinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Britto. The supporters of Ourinhos FC booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubinho Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Dudev, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Simon Ieltxu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Arantes. But to his dismay, Mané Arantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Rubinho Reis got control of the ball when Artemio Cisco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Rubinho Reis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Martins. After having played for 39 minutes, Gavril Dudev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ourinhos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavril Dudev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Wellington Lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Ieltxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Charles Martins made the kick off in the second half. Cléber Britto took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Reis. Rubinho Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rubinho Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Dudev, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cléber Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ourinhos FC's Gavril Dudev got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Arantes in the 63rd minute of play forced Ourinhos FC's goalkeeper Simon Ieltxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Ourinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Jairo de Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho Reis. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Rubinho Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Dudev in the 71st minute of the match. Gavril Dudev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Valladares got free with Simon Ieltxu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's zone, Cléber Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Reis came out of the goal and Cléber Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Jairo de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Fausto Valladares could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Simon Ieltxu however easily saved by the left post. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Rubinho Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cléber Britto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Reis having to make a save. If Artemio Cisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ourinhos FC booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
