With an extended leg and a bit of luck Acácio Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Michel Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Virgílio França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barril do Chaves F.C. After 56 played minutes Água Cristal FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Prestes. Pablo Teruel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgílio França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Dennis De Angelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bebeto Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Dennis De Angelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barril do Chaves F.C's Acácio Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Barril do Chaves F.C from getting a goal against them. When Dennis De Angelis came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Barril do Chaves F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis De Angelis couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Barril do Chaves F.C getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Aguiar hit a great ball. Dennis De Angelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgílio França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis De Angelis ran back to his position shaking his head. Água Cristal FC's Virgílio França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis De Angelis in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Barril do Chaves F.C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
