In the 10th minute Elivélton Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Morro Grande FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Hílton de Queirós hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 17th minute, but Cristóvão Félix got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Morro Grande FC hanging dry this time. In the 19th minute, Fluminense FC's Romeu de Salles seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romeu de Salles the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fluminense FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romeu de Salles had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 18th minute, one of Fluminense FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fluminense FC. Josué Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Fluminense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Leal in the 30th minute of the match. The wind increased when Elivélton Leal made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Siqueira came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Morro Grande FC's Elivélton Leal. But to his dismay, Elivélton Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 66 minutes into the match, Elivélton Leal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Fluminense FC's Daniel Siqueira. Daniel Siqueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Pedro Paulo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. After 79 minutes of play, Morro Grande FC's Elivélton Leal made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Eduardo Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Félix having to interfere. Elivélton Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
