The Umbuzeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Ramalho should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, one of RedDot F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Umbuzeiro's Hudson Brodel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Virgílio Mandrak. In the 22nd minute, Valdir Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Carioca in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Ramalho saved Umbuzeiro from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Jefferson Carioca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RedDot F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jefferson Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Umbuzeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Lima to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Augusto Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RedDot F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Jefferson Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Camargo was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Umbuzeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Carioca came free, but Doni Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RedDot F.C booed when Umbuzeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Ramalho having to interfere. When Álvaro Lima fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Umbuzeiro's protests and gave Álvaro Lima a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Umbuzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Lima. When RedDot F.C's Jefferson Carioca in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 72nd minute Jefferson Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th play minute Jefferson Carioca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Doni Ramalho. 1-4. In the 82nd match minute, RedDot F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Brasil to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a RedDot F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Umbuzeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Corrêa hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Umbuzeiro's Doni Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Umbuzeiro from getting a goal against them. RedDot F.C played a much better game than Umbuzeiro and deserved their victory. The Umbuzeiro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
