In the 11th minute Vladimir Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Perez in the 12th minute of play forced Sampa FC's goalkeeper Elder Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimir Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Capixaba having to interfere. Elder Capixaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Perez's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Vladimir Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sampa FC's Elder Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Perez in the 20th minute of play. Vladimir Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elder Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Nacional Atlético Clube's Vladimir Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lúcio Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Sampa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Perez came free, but Elder Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raúl Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Elder Capixaba made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Raúl Perez sent off a good shot on target. Vladimir Campidelis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Sampa FC's Elder Capixaba got control of the ball when Sandro Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sampa FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Joélson Moreno hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Raúl Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional Atlético Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nacional Atlético Clube's Lúcio Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Paiva in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Sandro Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional Atlético Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Vladimir Campidelis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elder Capixaba. Vladimir Campidelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Vladimir Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Sandro Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sampa FC's Elder Capixaba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nacional Atlético Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Váldson Bezerra placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Diamantino Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Paiva in the 100th minute of play forced Nacional Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Lúcio Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Nacional Atlético Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sampa FC.
