In the 15th minute Jarbas de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match Jaguaré FC got a corner. Fantasy FT's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Selçuk Onbulak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Selçuk Onbulak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fantasy FT's Egídio Marques did a great save. After having played for 18 minutes, Emanuele Caccia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaguaré FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuele Caccia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egídio Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Caccia in the 22nd minute of play. Matias Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Albertinho de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fantasy FT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho de Senna couldn't finish the play. Jaguaré FC's Matias Abbondanzieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Jaguaré FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Leandro Nascimento hit a great ball. If Albertinho de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Albertinho de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fantasy FT's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Abbondanzieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarbas de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jarbas de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Jaguaré FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarbas de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. João Pedro Motta tried in the 67th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Egídio Marques a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-1. In the 71st match minute, Fantasy FT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Motta to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Emanuele Caccia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguaré FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Caccia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
