But to his dismay, Jame Whitley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jame Whitley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Meireles having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Jame Whitley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Meireles. Guaraquicaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jame Whitley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jame Whitley might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jame Whitley ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Jame Whitley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Mente Burro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 26 minutes into the match, Jame Whitley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Meireles. Guaraquicaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jame Whitley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Marcelo Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jame Whitley's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When Real Mente Burro's Jame Whitley in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guaraquicaba's goalie prevented a goal. Real Mente Burro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Luiz Novaes in the 33rd minute. The corner led Real Mente Burro's Pedro Luiz Novaes to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Meireles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Real Mente Burro's Manos Theofanidis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vito Vargas, made in the 36th minute of the game. Marcelo Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jame Whitley in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Jame Whitley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Jame Whitley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Meireles having to make a save. Marcelo Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jame Whitley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jame Whitley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jame Whitley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Mente Burro's supporters rose to their feet, but Jame Whitley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jame Whitley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jame Whitley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcelo Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hílton Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Marcelo Meireles made a huge save. Jame Whitley was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Real Mente Burro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jame Whitley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaraquicaba's Marcelo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jame Whitley in the 85th minute of play. Marcelo Meireles was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Jame Whitley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jame Whitley really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After some careless play in the Guaraquicaba defense, Luciano Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Meireles. The Guaraquicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Meireles should have stopped the shot. Jame Whitley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
