A collision led to Foz Cataratas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dennis Guerra hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes Borralho got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Sena. In the 23rd minute, Borralho's Jaime Trancoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cui Hong Song. Cui Hong Song yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Foz Cataratas's Leopoldo Valladares got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jaime Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Anderson Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Anderson Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cui Hong Song tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Foz Cataratas's Cui Hong Song played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Trancoso in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Caco Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cilio Pujol, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Cilio Pujol came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Foz Cataratas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cilio Pujol couldn't finish the play. Caco Tróia was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 63rd minute, Caco Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anderson Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Jaime Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Borralho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Trancoso couldn't finish the play. After 71 minutes, Emílio da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borralho and the Foz Cataratas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emílio da Rocha hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Wilton Viana notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Borralho's Jaime Fontes. Jaime Fontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Foz Cataratas booed when Borralho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Jaime Trancoso put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cui Hong Song. In the 85th minute, Cilio Pujol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Anderson Meireles made a precise shot to the right of Cui Hong Song. Foz Cataratas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Jaime Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cilio Pujol's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. If Guto Pelé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
