Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5461, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 145) Penna's Mateus Gaúcho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gostoso AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Fellipe da Costa scored to the left of an out of position Franklin Linhares, making the score, 1-0. Penna's Jaime Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pereira in the 10th minute of play. When Valdo Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gostoso AD's protests and gave Valdo Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. Valdo Pinheiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Elivélton Romero in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Penna's Gildo Palmeira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Gaúcho in the 16th minute of play forced Gostoso AD's goalkeeper Franklin Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Penna's Mateus Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Paulo Melo during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gostoso AD's José Paulo Melo got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joélson Sampaio got free with Franklin Linhares in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Pedro Vieira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Gostoso AD. Ezequiel Lopez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jaime Moraes. 1-1. Gostoso AD's Franklin Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Gostoso AD from getting a goal against them. Jaime Moraes came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gostoso AD's Jaime Pereira. But to his dismay, Jaime Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 36th minute Jaime Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Hugo Hoffmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franklin Linhares. Hugo Hoffmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Franklin Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe da Costa in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jaime Pereira made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Gostoso AD got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Melo. Hernani Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 52 minutes into the game, one of Gostoso AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hugo Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Linhares having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Fellipe da Costa notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Gostoso AD's Franklin Linhares. Franklin Linhares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Penna's Jaime Moraes got control of the ball when João Augusto Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute Jaime Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wellington Antunes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Penna's Mateus Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin Linhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fellipe da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Linhares having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match, Jaime Pereira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaime Moraes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
