Filipe Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, larritasuna's Filipe Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Coringão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Lara struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Christian Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coringão. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Luiz Paulo Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. larritasuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Paulo Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Valdemar Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Christian Vale successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dagoberto Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Christian Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Fernando Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Christian Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. larritasuna's Christian Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Dionísio in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Luiz Fernando Lara made the kick off in the second half. When Coringão's Luiz Fernando Lara in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye larritasuna's goalie prevented a goal. 55 minutes into the game, Coringão's Dagoberto Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Coringão's zone, Luiz Paulo Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida de Mendonça came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Dionísio in the 63rd minute of the match. Valdemar Capixaba hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Filipe Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Filipe Costa came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the larritasuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Costa couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Dionísio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Christian Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Sandro Falcão put in a rough tackle. Erik Linhares did an outstanding performance 99 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 5-0 to the right of an irritated Christian Vale in the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Coringão had won after a very even match.
