The referee showed Lauro Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Guarda SS's Lauro Soeiro got a free kick in the 4th minute. If André Luiz Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Guarda SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Donato da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eduardo Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Donato da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Matteco Football's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Soeiro came free, but Sandro das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafim Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Guarda SS's Olavo Lopez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sandro das Neves but with some difficulty. Edmundo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Ramalho having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Matteco Football's goalkeeper Sandro das Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Netto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Freitas in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percival Velloso struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Eduardo Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matteco Football. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Souza during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Guarda SS got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Souza. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarda SS's goalkeeper Eduardo Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Tofani to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Donato da Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduardo Ramalho. Donato da Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After 58th play minutes Aldo Tofani shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Sandro das Neves and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 62nd minute, André Luiz Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If André Luiz Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Matteco Football's Donato da Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Ramalho. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. 73 minutes into the match, Guarda SS's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Velloso came free, but Eduardo Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Guarda SS's goal looked a bit too open when Donato da Silveira came free, but Eduardo Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Matteco Football played a much better game than Guarda SS and deserved their victory. The Guarda SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
