An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Godoi in the 6th minute of play forced Real United's goalkeeper Marcial Fonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Bertassi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Fonso saved Real United from getting behind. After 8 minutes, Pascoal Drible mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real United and the Patativa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Pascoal Drible hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Real United booed when Patativa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael de Almeida scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dedé Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafael de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dedé Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real United. Samuel Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dedé Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Silveira in the 27th minute of the match. Marco Bertassis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Marcial Fonso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marco Bertassi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcial Fonso came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Bertassi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. When Zé Pedro Simões fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patativa's protests and gave Zé Pedro Simões a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 minutes, Cléber Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patativa and the Real United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Cléber Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th match minute, Patativa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Simões to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Samuel Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dedé Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael de Almeida was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dedé Machado made a huge save. After 61 minutes, Germano Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real United and the Patativa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Patativa booed when Real United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patativa's Dedé Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Patativa from getting a goal against them. Samuel Mattos in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dedé Machado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ian Valadares during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Real United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Valadares to maneuver through the defense.
