The wind increased when Marcelinho Lopes made the kick off in the second half. Walmir Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cido Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sambaitiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Cido Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sambaitiba's Antônio Damião got a free kick in the 63rd minute. SF Aripuanã's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
