After 57 minutes, Ulysses Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.Palmeiras and the José Bonifácio EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enis Rıza in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ettore Pennetta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enis Rıza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Ettore Pennetta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The S.E.Palmeiras fans cheered their team off the field, for while José Bonifácio EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
