Pirassununguense's attentive Silas Figueiredo managed to snatch the ball when Wu Jun Yang made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. C. A. Pirassununguense's Claudio-Darío Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prosper Lebraud in the 19th minute of play. If Tostão Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prosper Lebraud to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Praia Grande MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wu Jun Yang to maneuver through the defense. Praia Grande MZC's Hortêncio Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Meirelles in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pirassununguense's Tostão Meirelles got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute Luís Fábio dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. Pirassununguense's Luizão Souza got a free kick in the 71st minute. Claudio-Darío Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prosper Lebraud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Praia Grande MZC's Prosper Lebraud got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hortêncio Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Pirassununguense's Tostão Meirelles. But to his dismay, Tostão Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. C. A. Pirassununguense's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
