After 36 minutes of play, Tabajara FC's Basarab Vrânceanu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael Donato was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Vrânceanu got free with Raphael Donato in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st match minute, São Paulo Luz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Seco to maneuver through the defense. São Paulo Luz's Raphael Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo Luz from getting a goal against them. Raphael Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Vrânceanu in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tabajara FC fully deserved thier win.
