Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luiz Guilherme Diniz took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Matías Abraão notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Arabela's Cipriano Catarinense. Cipriano Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Fábio Palmeira hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Catarinense having to interfere. In the 13th minute of the match Frederico Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cipriano Catarinense skillfully saved the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Álvaro Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arabela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karpinski EC the free kick. The supporters of Karpinski EC booed when Arabela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Matías Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Renatinho Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Sabóia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cipriano Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Abraão in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Frederico Vinhas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cipriano Catarinense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Furtado in the 44th minute of play forced Karpinski EC's goalkeeper Ernani Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Karpinski EC's Carlos Alberto Pimenta made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Arabela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Karpinski EC were winning 0-4.

In the 60th minute Válter Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Matías Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Catarinense. Arabela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matías Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Karpinski EC's Ernani Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Diniz in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Matías Abraão made a precise shot to the right of Cipriano Catarinense. Arabela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karpinski EC's goalkeeper Ernani Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cipriano Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matías Abraão got free with Cipriano Catarinense in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Arabela's zone, Matías Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Catarinense came out of the goal and Matías Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Válter Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arabela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Carlos Alberto Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Cipriano Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ernani Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Diniz in the 94th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Luís Fernando Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Karpinski EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
