After 8 minutes, Emílio Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POLIARENA and the Zaca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Zaca FC's Adalberto Alagoano in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye POLIARENA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind POLIARENA's goalkeeper Rui Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Henrique fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Neto having to interfere. Gil Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in POLIARENA's zone, Orlando Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Neto came out of the goal and Orlando Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the POLIARENA defense, Adalberto Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Neto. The POLIARENA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Neto should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Silas de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in POLIARENA's zone, Bruno Henrique stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Neto came out of the goal and Bruno Henrique tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Secco hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, POLIARENA's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Sabóia came free, but Rui Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Neto came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Zaca FC's Perivaldo Sabóia. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Carlos Eduardo Andrade hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Perivaldo Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rui Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Henrique in the 43rd minute of the match. The POLIARENA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zaca FC were winning 0-4.

Adalberto Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perivaldo Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Neto having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, POLIARENA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Secco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Zaca FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Adalberto Alagoano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Juninho do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. POLIARENA's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd match minute, POLIARENA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Secco to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, POLIARENA's Rui Neto got control of the ball when Perivaldo Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Zaca FC's Bruno Henrique nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Rui Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Alagoano in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zaca FC's Silas de Salles got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Adalberto Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho Loureiro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, one of POLIARENA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. POLIARENA:s Rui Neto showed great skill when he stopped Betão Catarinense:s penalty. With a little luck, POLIARENA's Rui Neto got control of the ball when Perivaldo Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, POLIARENA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adalberto Alagoano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Silas de Salles hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Zaca FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
