A collision led to Sarandy FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dorian Urbano hit a great ball. Paulo Renato Rosado struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Rui Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarandy FC. Juninho do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Esteves having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tomé Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomé Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to POLIARENA getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Leandro Branco hit a great ball. When Paulo Renato Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sarandy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Renato Rosado couldn't finish the play. With his leg Rui Neto managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Sarandy FC's Paulo Renato Rosado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Tomé Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Tomé Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Renato Rosado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Rui Neto made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, POLIARENA could leave the field as winners, despite Sarandy FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
