In the 19th minute, Juninho do Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Valle in the 23rd minute of play forced POLIARENA's goalkeeper Rui Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emílio Secco during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emílio Secco hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Juninho do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Netto during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Márcio Netto hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Valle to make the kick off. Osvaldinho Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás da Costa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Valle in the 56th minute of play forced POLIARENA's goalkeeper Rui Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Márcio Netto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rui Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. POLIARENA's Giuseppe Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Juninho do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the POLIARENA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Destroyer's Thomás da Costa got control of the ball when Giuseppe Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute Diogo Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carlos Valle came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Destroyer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Valle couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Destroyer's zone, Juninho do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás da Costa came out of the goal and Juninho do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
