João Pedro Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demolidores's Marquinhos Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Demolidores from getting a goal against them. Edson Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marquinhos Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demolidores's Marquinhos Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Porto in the 44th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Porto to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Bebeto Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Diogo Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Demolidores's zone, Edson Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Duarte came out of the goal and Edson Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Demolidores got a freekick which was hit by Marco Alcântara. After a rather tough play, Demolidores's João Pedro Terra got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Cido Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
