Bala Halls could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but José Pedro Melo made a huge save. With a little luck, Fenix FC's José Pedro Melo got control of the ball when João Francisco Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bala Halls might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bala Halls ran back to his position shaking his head. The Rodeiro fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Rodeiro's Bala Halls looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 27 minutes, Dino Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodeiro's Fabian Barthez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Guedes in the 33rd minute of play. Fabian Barthez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Dino Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Fabian Barthez made a huge save. After 63 played minutes Rodeiro got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Pires. The attack was good, but when José Maria Guedes in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 76th minute, João Francisco Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Bala Halls sped through Fenix FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Pedro Melo. Paulo Renato Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Fenix FC booed when Rodeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Dino Massa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabian Barthez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
