José Maria Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elano Fontes got free with João Carlos Moura in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Paulo Renato Fontes made a precise shot to the right of José Maria Breckenfeld. Frecheira EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Sena to make the kick off. Kléber Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. José Maria Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Eusébio Couto hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo Renato Fontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Maria Breckenfeld. That made the score 1-6 in the 71 minute of play. Matheus Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Umberto Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rubens Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Águias de Alagoas F.C played a much better game than Frecheira EC and deserved their victory. The Frecheira EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
