The supporters of Frecheira EC booed when UR6 do Imirim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gildo Cruz sped through Frecheira EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Maria Breckenfeld. 30 minutes into the match, Frecheira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder da Silva came free, but José Maria Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frecheira EC's José Maria Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Cruz in the 32nd minute of play. Fabinho Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Frecheira EC's Dudu Linares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dudu Linares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Frecheira EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dudu Linares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 41 played minutes Frecheira EC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Linares. José Maria Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Oğuz Yağızalp in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time.
