The referee ignored Notria F.C.'s protests and gave Sandro Passos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Notria F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Passos to maneuver through the defense. Notria F.C.'s Angelo Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pong Elin in the 29th minute of play. When Pong Elin came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sapiranga F C fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Brasil in the 44th minute of play forced Notria F.C.'s goalkeeper Angelo Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sapiranga F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Notria F.C. the free kick. Marcos Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Notria F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Ramalho. Filip Mentus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráuzio Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Brasil got free with Angelo Bittencourt in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Pong Elin sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráuzio Cardozo in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Mentus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Notria F.C. booed when Sapiranga F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Angelo Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dráuzio Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filip Mentus was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
