Zé Roberto Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandrinho de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Almir de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Mandrak in the 12th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Samuca Vergílio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sílvio Luís Quadros to make any attempt to save it. When Aílton Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Rude fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Sílvio Luís Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Domingues in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Diguinho Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rude defense, Wellington Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almir de Senna. The Rude fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almir de Senna should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute Aílton Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Pitta in the 34th minute of play. Almir de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Aguiar in the 36th minute of the match. Rude's Miguel Custódio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eugênio Peres, made in the 39th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Aílton Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Quadros didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Miguel Custódio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Luís Quadros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandrinho de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aílton Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Almir de Senna made a huge save. Sílvio Luís Quadros came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Rude's Miguel Custódio. But to his dismay, Miguel Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 61 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Domingues notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Grêmio's Sílvio Luís Quadros. Sílvio Luís Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sílvio Luís Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Vergílio in the 64th minute of play. Sílvio Luís Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Samuca Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aílton Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rude fans jumped to their feet. Wellington Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Almir de Senna made a huge save. In the 88th match minute, Rude was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Passos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rude getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Aílton Mandrak hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Miguel Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rude had won after a very even match.
