Aílton Pitta might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Prata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Pitta ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Wellington Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Prata was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Francisco Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Wellington Aguiar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Prata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wellington Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grêmio's Sílvio Luís Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Bittencourt in the 95th minute of play. Mathias Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luís Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathias Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SCCP1910 fully deserved thier win.
