After a defensive mix-up in Calesso FC's zone, Rodrigo Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Soares came out of the goal and Rodrigo Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar de Lima's late challenge caught a Real-United-States's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Calesso FC's Edgar de Lima got a free kick in the 13th minute. Fabiano Linhares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Vicente Soares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vicente Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Calesso FC's Edgar de Lima got a free kick in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Ronaldinho Tepedino took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Vicente Soares to make any attempt to save it. Ernesto Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Fabiano Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vicente Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute of the match, Fabiano Linhares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vicente Soares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 38 minutes into the game, Ernesto Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dadá Trevisan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vicente Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Tepedino in the 49th minute of play.

The wind increased when Ernesto Valladares made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Calesso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Tepedino came free, but Vicente Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Soares having to interfere. Dadá Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ademar Goiano sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Calesso FC defense, Ronaldinho Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Soares. The Calesso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Soares should have stopped the shot. Fabiano Linhares struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Vicente Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real-United-States. The audience was convinced that Ronaldinho Tepedino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Soares was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Fabiano Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real-United-States's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real-United-States. If Ronaldinho Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the game, Real-United-States's Fabiano Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real-United-States fully deserved thier win.
