Luiz Fernando Meira struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Vicente Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anecoico FC. The supporters of Calesso FC booed when Anecoico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Remo Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anecoico FC's protests and gave Remo Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. Remo Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes of play, Anecoico FC's Luiz Fernando Meira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Fernando Meira took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Soares. Vicente Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Vidal in the 20th minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Vicente Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fernando Meira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Luiz Fernando Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute of the match Erik Cosme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Soares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 32 minutes in the game, Luiz Fernando Meira dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Aílton Sanches's late challenge caught a Anecoico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aílton Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. Aílton Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Caco Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fernando Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Anecoico FC's Luiz Fernando Meira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vicente Soares. That made the score 0-3 after 56 minutes of play. Caco Vidal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fernando Meira in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Soares saved Calesso FC from getting behind. 65 minutes into the game, Giovani Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Vicente Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 68 minutes, Ademar Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calesso FC and the Anecoico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademar Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Ademar Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Calesso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Goiano couldn't finish the play. Vicente Soares came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Anecoico FC's Luiz Fernando Meira. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 80 minutes in the game, Caco Vidal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vicente Soares having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Caco Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celsinho Favoretto during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Anecoico FC booed when Calesso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calesso FC's Vicente Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Meira in the 88th minute of play. Vicente Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fernando Meira's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Calesso FC's goalkeeper Vicente Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Calesso FC's Aílton Sanches got a free kick in the 94th minute. Caco Vidal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anecoico FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
