The supporters of Athletico Manaus booed when Fluviopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 13 played minutes Athletico Manaus got a freekick which was hit by Allan Dante. Fluviopolis's Dedé Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson de Sena in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Athletico Manaus getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lauro Marques hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Anderson Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fluviopolis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 35 minutes into the match, Athletico Manaus's Ruy Moreira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Fluviopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson de Sena came free, but Dedé Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. William Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ruy Moreira shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Dedé Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Ferraz in the 71st minute of play. Dedé Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The tension between the Fluviopolis and the Athletico Manaus players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fluviopolis getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. César de Queiroz hit a great ball. When Dudu Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Athletico Manaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Ferraz couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Fluviopolis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Athletico Manaus throughout the match.
