Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorian Britto started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Athletico Manaus's Dudu Ferraz got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Wilian Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson de Sena in the 5th minute of the match. Wilian Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Marques in the 6th minute of play. Válbson de Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilian Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Marques in the 9th minute of play. When Válbson de Sena fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletico Manaus's protests and gave Válbson de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. Válbson de Sena hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Wilian Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Wilian Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Marques in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Athletico Manaus's André Leal got control of the ball when Vinícius Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Athletico Manaus's goalkeeper André Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Berger. André Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Zonta in the 28th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Athletico Manaus's Válbson de Sena made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilian Furlan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 33 played minutes Athletico Manaus got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Marques. Wilian Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Ferraz in the 36th minute of the match. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Marques in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Luz during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Athletico Manaus were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson de Sena was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Branco during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Cachoeiras got a freekick which was hit by Germano Branco. 65 minutes into the match, Dudu Ferraz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan. Wilian Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Fernando Sena made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Athletico Manaus's Durval Couto. Wilian Furlan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruy Moreira. Dudu Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. The supporters of Cachoeiras booed when Athletico Manaus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorian Britto hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Cachoeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson de Sena came free, but Wilian Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
