The Lambari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Tasso should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Lambari booed when Balança Rede FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Balança Rede FC's Mané Garrincha in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 28th minute Geraldo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33rd play minutes Mané Garrincha shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Douglas Tasso and just under the crossbar into goal. Mané Garrincha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Douglas Tasso made a huge save. Geraldo Gonçalves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Douglas Tasso came out and tried to block the shot, but Geraldo Gonçalves slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lambari's zone, Mané Garrincha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Tasso came out of the goal and Mané Garrincha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mané Garrincha took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Tasso. Douglas Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Geraldo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mané Garrincha was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Geraldo Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Tasso. Lambari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geraldo Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Douglas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Garrincha, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Guto de Brito succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 12-0. In the 79thth minute of the game Mané Garrincha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lambari's Douglas Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 played minutes Lambari got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Guimarães. Douglas Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Garrincha, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Emanuel Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Tasso.
