To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Anselmi SC booed when Havre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Havre's zone, Paulo Renato Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Paes came out of the goal and Paulo Renato Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute André Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Anselmi SC got a freekick which was hit by André Peixoto. When Tom Boy came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Havre fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to Anselmi SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Albertinho Maia hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Porto got free with Zézinho Paranaense in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Havre players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
