In the 16th minute, Çelik Seri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elano Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizão Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elano Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Thomar's zone, Marco Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Nascimento came out of the goal and Marco Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Thomar defense, Marco Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Nascimento. The Thomar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Nascimento should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Opera OMNES's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Quadros came free, but Manuel Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çelik Seri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Opera OMNES's Luizão Nascimento threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elano Hermes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Abel Melo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Thomar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Melo couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Renatinho Souto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizão Nascimento. Thomar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho Souto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Thomar's Paulo José dos Santos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Manuel Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto Quadros in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Abel Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when João Augusto Quadros made the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Thomar's protests and gave Sidney Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Thomar got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Tinoco. In the 92nd minute of the match Falcão Quintal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizão Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Opera OMNES walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
