Mané Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Gil Rocha made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Salinas Náutico Clube's Paulo José Koehler got a free kick in the 18th minute. Salinas Náutico Clube's Gil Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Salinas Náutico Clube from getting a goal against them. Salinas Náutico Clube's Gil Rocha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Samuel Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Ramos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Rocha saved Salinas Náutico Clube from getting behind. 40 minutes into the game, Diamantino Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salinas Náutico Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stand By the free kick. In the 44th minute, Mané Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 46 in the game by Mané Marques from a close distance when the talented Gil Rocha managed to make a qualified save. Salinas Náutico Clube's players were relieved. With his leg Gil Rocha managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Stand By's Mané Marques fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Marques to make the kick off. When Mané Marques came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Stand By fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Marques couldn't finish the play. João Paulo Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Rossi in the 57th minute of the match. João Paulo Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Paranaense in the 58th minute of play. When Vânderson Zonta fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stand By's protests and gave Vânderson Zonta a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Stand By got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Zonta. 62 minutes into the match, Stand By's goalkeeper João Paulo Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel de Sousa. 65 minutes into the match, Stand By's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Rossi came free, but João Paulo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Braga during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stand By fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Salinas Náutico Clube. Eliézer Rossi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Paulo Mota. 3-1. Mané Marques struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gil Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stand By. After 72 minutes of play Salinas Náutico Clube's Paulo José Koehler was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Paulo José Koehler hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mané Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stand By's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Mané Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Stand By got a corner. Salinas Náutico Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramón da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 82nd minute, Silas da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Stand By got a freekick which was hit by Nico Ramos. If Luís Fábio Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Stand By getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gláuber Macedo hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Stand By's goalkeeper João Paulo Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliézer Rossi. Nico Ramos was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Salinas Náutico Clube booed when Stand By was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salinas Náutico Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
